Bordeaux like in style, the French would describe this wine as being "garrique" in aromas and flavor. This translates to dried herb notes of sage, lavender, rosemary... think Herbes de Provence. This is due to the vineyard, which sits high above the fog line on Mt Veeder. The vines are very stressed and yield usually around one ton per acre of pure magic! Big in color, flavor and tannin, it's a wine to age for years to come.
