1. Combine the first 5 ingredients in a bowl and rub all over the ribs. Place ribs in a container and wrap tightly to cover; allow to marinate for 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
2. Preheat a gas or charcoal grill on high heat, and preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Scrape grill clean, and wipe clean with a paper towel soaked with oil. Grill ribs, flipping occasionally, until browned on both sides, about 4-7 minutes total.
3. Remove ribs from the grill and place on a rimmed cookie sheet, lined with parchment paper or foil. Place ribs in the oven and bake, flipping occasionally, until internal temperature of the ribs reads 140-145 degrees F on an instant-read or meat thermometer, about 30-45 minutes.
4. Glaze ribs on both sides with Barbecue Sauce, and return to the oven. Set a timer for 7 minutes, then repeat with more sauce. Return to the oven for 7 more minutes, then remove the ribs from the oven and tent loosely with foil. Allow to rest for 15-20 minutes, then serve immediately, with more sauce if desired.
